Here we list a collection of the most common questions we receive at Bitcoin Broker. If we’re missing anything, please feel free to get in touch by emailing us here.
How does the Bitcoin buying process work?
We keep it really simple.
- You register for a free BitcoinBroker account here.
- Once registered, you place your Bitcoin order.
- You make payment via EFT or cash deposit within 90 minutes.
- As soon as your payment clears, we send you your Bitcoins
What is the minimum order size?
We have a minimum order size of R1,000.00 and maximum of R20,000.00. Should you wish to order more than this, please contact us.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept payment by EFT and cash deposit to our bank (FNB). Unfortunately we do not accept credit cards due to the risk associated with this payment method. If you would like to buy Bitcoin with credit card, you can use Coinmama.
How long does it take to get my Bitcoin(s)?
Within normal business hours (M-F, 09hoo – 17h00) , we aim to fulfil your order within 10 minutes of your payment reflecting in our bank account (FNB). If you bank with FNB, or wish to deposit cash, you will likely go from zero to owning Bitcoin within 10-15 minutes.
How do I receive my Bitcoins?
We can send your Bitcoins to whatever wallet address you’d like. If you don’t have a wallet, we’ll help you set one up. Please make sure you give us the correct address as Bitcoin payments cannot be reversed.
What is a Bitcoin wallet?
A wallet is the equivalent of an internet banking account for Bitcoin. We recommend using Blockchain, one of the most popular wallet services, who host over 12 million wallets in more than 140 countries.
Why Not Use BitX or LocalBitcoins.com?
There is nothing wrong with these services, IF you have substantial experience with Bitcoin. BitcoinBroker aims to simplify the process of buying Bitcoin for newcomers – we’re all about making it quick and easy to get in on the Bitcoin revolution. BitX/Luno and LocalBitcoins are good platforms, but they’re not ideal for the beginner as they require a fair deal of prior knowledge. We’re here to help you get started in the oftentimes complex world of Bitcoin.
